Jasmine tea is a tea variety, which is scented with the aroma of blossoms from the jasmine plant. Tea makers usually use green tea as a base for it. Blossoms from common jasmine or sampaguita are stored with tea leaves or blended with them. Jasmine blossoms are typically put together with the tea leaves in storage or blended with stored tea.

Jasmine tea usually has a sweet flavor and aroma. But using boiling water can make the flavor bitter. Brewing it for more than 3 minutes will also lead to a bitter tea taste.
Using black tea as a base will make your tea relatively strong and rich with floral hints in the aftertaste.
There are 2 main scenting methods that are used to infuse jasmine with tea leaves: natural scenting and making jasmine pearls.
Natural scenting
When naturally scenting tea leaves, the jasmine buds are plucked when they’re closed. After that, they’re placed below a woven tray of loose tea leaves. After the buds bloom, their oils seep into the leaves. This process may take a couple of days, with the regular use of jasmines. At the end, we have a subtle and floral flavor with sweet hints.
Making jasmine pearls
While making jasmine pearls, tea and jasmine buds are layered and hand-rolled into pearl-like shapes. It allows the jasmine’s essential oils to seep into the tea leaves. It has strong and rich flavor. Jasmine pearls tea is famous for its floral taste that’s accompanied by freshness.
